General Occupational Technology (GOT)

General Occupational Technology (GOT)

Summary

Overview of the General Occupational Technology (GOT) Program and how to enter into the program

Overview

The General Occupational Technology (GOT) Curriculum Program provides students with an opportunity to upgrade their skills and to earn an associate degree or diploma by taking courses suited for their occupational interests and/or needs. The GOT curriculum content will be individualized for students according to their occupational interests and needs. A program of study for each student will be selected from non-developmental level courses offered by the College. Graduates will become more effective workers, better qualified for advancements within their field of employment, and become qualified for a wide range of entry-level employment opportunities. Please see a counselor for additional information.

Prospective GOT Students

Unlike many other programs, students are not able to enter themselves into GOT through the general College application or WebAdvisor. To enter into the GOT Program, students must consult with a Student Advisor. Appointments can be made by emailing advising@abtech.edu.

Current GOT Students

GOT students must have an Plan set up before every semester in order to register for classes. They can do this by meeting with their assigned advisor in the Bailey Student Services Building.
