An overview of the services provided at the College's South Site location
Academic Advising and Enrollment Process
The South Site provides academic advising and planning services to assist students with selecting an academic program, course planning, and registering for classes. Assistance is also available for Transitional Studies and Continuing Education course registration.
Laptop computers and Nook e-readers are available for on-site check-out. Wireless internet is available throughout the facility. Students can use the internet to make payments online, buy books online, and Skype with the Writing Center.
Enrollment and Class Registration
Assistance with the College application and enrollment-related requirements is available. South Site staff also assist students with course selection and registration.
The South Site has a student break room, which includes a kitchen where students may store items requiring refrigeration. A microwave oven and sink are available for student use. In addition, vending services are available.
Students attending classes at the South Site are eligible to use off site student library services.
New Student Orientation, Placement Test, and Test Proctoring
Print and Copy Services
Staff is available to assist students with printing and copying course-related academic materials.
Quick study space is available for student use.
Class withdrawals can be processed at the South Site.
Services Not Provided
The South Site is not able to provide the following services:
- Books for purchase (students can purchase books online or go to the main Asheville campus)
- Financial Aid assistance
- Payments in person (students can make payments online)
- Tutoring in person (students can Skype with the Writing Center)
