How to get an A-B Tech student ID card

How to Get an ID Card

You can obtain a student ID card at the Information Desk in the K. Ray Bailey Student Services Center located at the main Asheville campus during normal business hours. To be eligible for a student ID card, you will need to present a valid driver's license or other state-issued photo ID. It's helpful if you know your student ID number.

There is no charge for a new ID card or for replacing old ID cards with the newer version that began being issued in spring 2015. If you lose your ID card, there will be a $10 charge for a replacement. You can pay for a replacement ID card online.

Library Card

After receiving an A-B Tech ID card, you should take it to the Don C. Locke Library to activate the card in the library's database. The library-activated photo ID card can be used to check out materials, use the research computers, and access reserve items.

More information about student ID cards can be found on our website.
