SAP Statuses
If you are receiving financial aid, you must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). There are several possible SAP status:
- Satisfactory – you are meeting SAP requirements and are potentially eligible for financial aid
- Suspension – you are not meeting SAP requirements and are not eligible for financial aid, but you do have the option to appeal
- Continued Probation – your SAP appeal has been granted, and you are potentially eligible for financial aid as long as you meet the conditions of your appeal
- Termination – you did not meet the conditions of your probation period after your appeal was granted, so you will not be eligible for financial aid until you are meeting SAP requirements again; the termination status cannot be appealed
The details of the SAP requirements and the appeals process can be found in the A-B Tech Catalog and on the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FASAP) Policy page. SAP appeal forms can be found at abtech.edu/financialaidforms.
