Overview of Academic Awards and Program Certificate Ceremonies
The College hosts the Academic Awards Ceremony to honor one outstanding student from each program area. Students are selected for this honor based on GPA, attendance, class participation and other factors such as tutoring peers in subject area, above-and-beyond efforts in classroom or clinical sites, etc. Students selected for this award will be given a medallion to wear at commencement.
The Student Services division also hosts a Certificate Ceremony twice a year to honor students who have completed Certificate Programs and those on the President's List and Dean's List.

Program Certificates are awarded to those who have completed a focused short-term program or course of study. Certificates are designed to provide an opportunity to achieve entry-level job skills, to upgrade skills or to cross-train.
The qualifications for the Dean's List and President's List available on in our Student Handbook.
The Dean's and President's Lists are generally released around a month after the semester ends. Students will be notified through their student email account.
