How to buy textbooks at the Campus Bookstore or online

Buy Books Online

During certain times of the year, you can buy books online through the A-B Tech Bookstore. Go to bookstore.abtech.edu, click "Textbook lookup," and then select the academic term and course information. You'll be able to see the books you need by the course number.

When buying books online, you can have the books shipped to your home, or you can purchase them online and pick them up in person at the Bookstore.

On Campus Bookstore

New and used textbooks for any A-B Tech classes can be purchased in the Campus Bookstore in the Bailey Student Services Building (#5 on our campus map) located at the main Asheville campus. A limited number of books are also available for rental. Used and rental books are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The A-B Tech Bookstore hours can be found on our website, abtech.edu, by selecting "Contact Us" at the very top of the page and clicking "Hours of Operation."

How to Find Books for Specific Classes

You can see what books are needed for your classes in a two different ways:

Payment Options

The Bookstore accepts payments in cash, debit/credit card, and check. Books can be purchased with a personal check if you show your government-issued photo ID and give your A-B Tech student ID number, street address, and phone number. During specific days of each semester, students receiving financial aid may buy books using their financial aid funds.

Return Books

In order to return or exchange a textbook, you must have the receipt (no exceptions). New books must be in new and resalable condition. Defective books will be exchanged if returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. Purchases paid for by check will be refunded by cash 15 days after the date of purchase. Credit card purchases will be credited back to the account, and cash purchases will be refunded by cash.

Buy Books with Financial Aid

At specific days during the semester, students who have been awarded financial aid can use their financial aid funds to purchase books and course materials in the Campus Bookstore.
