How to get an A-B Tech student ID card

Spring 2021 Update

Approximately 75% of our spring 2021 classes are now online so that students in those classes do not need to go to campus. Due to limited availability and safety precautions regarding the Coronavirus, student ID cards are only available to students who are taking classes that still plan to meet in person or who need them for their clinicals.

If you are unsure whether your classes will now meet online, below is a link with instructions to verify the delivery method of your classes.

Fall 2020 Class Meeting Updates

If you meet the criteria above, you can request a student ID card by completing the Student ID Card Request online form. You will use your full A-B Tech student email address and password to log in to the form.

After you have submitted the form, you will be emailed at your student email account when the card is ready for you to pick up. The email will include instructions for picking up your ID card.

You will need to present a valid driver's license or other government-issued photo ID to pick up your student ID card.

There is no charge for the first student ID card. If you already have a card and lose it, there will be a $10 charge for a replacement. You can pay for the replacement student ID card online

Library Card

After receiving an A-B Tech ID card, you should take it to the Don C. Locke Library to activate the card in the library's database. The library-activated photo ID card can be used to check out materials, use the research computers, and access reserve items.
More information about student ID cards can be found on our website.
