How to register for and cancel an EdReady placement test
A-B Tech offers several placement options, which are listed at abtech.edu/placement.
If you need to take an EdReady placement test, register for it online at abtech.edu/placement. Click on "Schedule Placement Testing," and log in using the same username and password you use for Self-Service/Moodle.
You must present a photo ID to take the test. Calculators and personal electronic equipment are not permitted in the Testing Center. (A calculator does pop up on the screen for those portions of the test that allow it.) Scratch paper and pencils are provided.
To register for testing at the Madison site, call (828) 398-7700. If you need special accommodations for testing, please visit the Support Services page.
To cancel a placement test, follow the link in the confirmation email that you received after registering for the placement test. You can also cancel a placement test by calling (828) 398-7219.
It's important to prepare before taking the placement test. Preparation materials are available at abtech.edu/placement by clicking on Prepare for Placement Testing. Preparing for the test can save you the cost and time of additional classes.
