Business Incubator Program
Business Incubator Program
Summary
Information on A-B Tech's Business Incubator Program
Program Overview
Our Business Incubation is a program to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses. It offers consultation, coaching, access to shared resources, and either office, wet lab or manufacturing facilities. It is designed to help both new and emerging businesses build a strong foundation for long term sustainability and growth.
The Student Business Incubator Program is designed to support A-B Tech curriculum students who want to start their own businesses. Students interested in participating in this extracurricular program must submit an application and go through a selection process, which includes interviewing and presenting a business plan. Student-run businesses will then be selected to participate in this program, which is from July–June each year.
How to Apply
For those interested in applying for the program, a completed business plan must be submitted. This plan must show the ability of the company to become self-sustaining by the end of the two years.
For biotechnology or light manufacturing companies with a significant capital investment, there is the possibility to complete the two-year incubation program and obtain Partner Status. Partner Status allows the company to remain in the incubator for an additional three years in order to complete commercialization or achieve positive cash flow and return on investment.
