How and where to take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) Test
Overview
The TABE test (Test of Adult Basic Education) is an adult basic skills assessment. The reading comprehension section of the test is required for application to certain programs.
TABE Testing for Program Application
The TABE test is required for some curriculum (for college credit) and Continuing Education (not for college credit) programs, including Nurse Aide I (CNA), Basic Law Enforcement Training, Highway Patrol, and Continuing Education EMS training.

Prospective Nurse Aide I (CNA) students can find information about the free reading test on Step #5 under the "Registration" section at the following link: Nurse Aide Program (CNA).

Basic Law Enforcement Training & EMS - Woodfin Campus

State Highway Patrol - Madison Campus
