Overview of the Nurse Aide (CNA) training programs at A-B Tech

Nurse Aide Level I

Nurse Aide Level I is a Continuing Education class that provides short-term training to work as a caregiver in a nursing home, hospital, or private home. After completing the class, you will be eligible to take the Nurse Aide State Exam. This course is a prerequisite for application to the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program.

Nurse Aide I Test

A-B Tech is a regional testing location for the Nurse Aide I Test.

Nurse Aide I Refresher

Nurse Aide I Refresher is a Continuing Education course for a Nurse Aide I whose state listing expired not more than four years before, and for current nurse aides who have moved to North Carolina. Please call (828) 398-7878 or email healthoccupationsconed@abtech.edu for questions and to be placed on a mailing list to receive information about upcoming classes as it becomes available.

Nurse Aide Level II

This Continuing Education course offers short-term training to move nurse aides at Level I to more complex nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Please call (828) 398-7878 or email healthoccupationsconed@abtech.edu for questions and to be placed on a mailing list to receive information about upcoming classes as it becomes available.
