Career Services (Counseling, Résumé, Interviewing)

Overview of the career counseling, résumé-writing, and interview preparation resources available for students and non-students

Career counseling is offered in the Bailey Student Services Building at no charge for curriculum students who have a current application on file and are at least 18 years old. If you have not yet applied to the College, you'll need to complete an application at abtech.edu/apply.

General information about our Career Services is available on our website. That page also has useful links for additional topics.

Career Services Appointments

To schedule an appointment, email careerservices@abtech.edu.

For the Résumé and Interview Workshops, be sure to bring a draft of your résumé and cover letter, as well as a flash drive to save any edits. We also have DVDs for resume writing.

  • Non-curriculum (Continuing Education) students or other members of the community can find career services and résumé and interview help through Job Club, which is located in the Edington Center at 133 Livingston Street in Asheville. Hours are Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Job Club services are free and open to the public. You can find help with job searches, résumés/cover letters, registering for short-term training at A-B Tech, expanding your local network, and much more. For more information, call (828) 398-4158, ext. 121.
  • Madison County residents can contact our Madison County Career Center in the Ramsey Building at our Madison Site, at (828) 782-2632.

Job Board

We also have a Job Board which helps job seekers connect with employers from the community. Visit our Job Board webpage by scrolling over "Careers" at the top of abtech.edu and selecting "Job Board."
