Early Childhood Education
We offer the following curriculum programs through our Early Childhood Education Department:
- Early Childhood Education A.A.S.
- Early Childhood: Licensure Transfer Track A.A.S.
- Early Childhood: Non-Licensure Transfer Track A.A.S.
- Early Childhood Certificate
- Infant/Toddler Care Certificate
- Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation
- Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation
If you are unsure which program you wish to pursue, you may consult with a Student Advisor. Advisors are available for walk-in services (no appointment needed) on Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m.–5:45 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m. in the Bailey Building (#5 on our campus map). Alternatively, you may use the online Advising Appointment Scheduler to schedule a remote appointment (online or phone).
North Carolina Early Childhood Credential
You can obtain the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC), which is required for employment in many child care centers, by taking the single course EDU-119 Introduction to Early Childhood Education.
