Career and College Promise (CCP) Programs

Career and College Promise (CCP) Programs

Summary

Overview of A-B Tech's Career and College Promise (CCP) programs for high school students

Overview

A-B Tech offers dual-enrollment opportunities for qualified high school students to earn college credit and accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees.

Additional information on high school student qualification and course offerings is available on our website at abtech.edu/ccp

CCP Pathways

We offer two types of Career and College Promise (CCP) Pathways:

  1. College Transfer Pathways can lead to completion of at least 30 semester hours of transfer courses, including English and mathematics. These courses transfer to all 16 campuses of the University of North Carolina system, as well as many private colleges in the state.
  2. Career Technical Education Pathways lead to a certificate or diploma aligned with a high school Career Cluster.

Tuition & Costs

CCP courses are tuition-free, but students must pay for any lab fees and textbooks.

Admission to CCP Programs

Public and private students should first speak with their high school guidance counselor about enrolling in a CCP pathway.

Homeschool students should first meet with an A-B Tech college entry advisor.

CCP Program Advising

Before each term, CCP students must meet with an advisor, who will discuss courses, coordinate with the school, and register the student for classes. Online registration is not currently available for CCP students. Please refer to the table below for advisor contact information based on high school attendance.
