Calculation Overview
At the end of each semester, quality points are assigned in accordance with the following formula:
| Letter Grade | Quality Points Per Credit Hour |
|---|---|
| A | 4 quality points per credit hour |
| B | 3 quality points per credit hour |
| C | 2 quality points per credit hour |
| D | 1 quality point per credit hour |
| F | no quality points |
| U | no quality points |
Quality ratings are determined by dividing the total number of quality points by the number of hours attempted (excluding grades of "X," "I," and "W”). A ratio of 2.00 indicates that a student has an average of "C.”
