Enrollment Steps for Visiting Students
If you're currently enrolled at another college/university and would like to take courses at A-B Tech to transfer back to your school, here are the steps you need to take:
- Check with your own college or university first to learn the necessary credit transfer process, and find out which credits from A-B Tech will be accepted.
- Review our course offerings and all prerequisite/placement requirements for any course you want to take at A-B Tech.
- Complete a general application to the College at abtech.edu/admissions.
- Prerequisites/placement in Math and/or English are required for some courses. If the course(s) you would like to take have these requirements, you need to consult with a Student Advisor prior to registration. Please have your unofficial transcript available to provide to your advisor upon request. You may use the online Advising Appointment Scheduler to schedule a remote appointment. Alternatively, you may come in person for walk-in advising. The Bailey Building (#5 on our campus map) is currently open Monday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m.–5:45 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m.–4:45 p.m. Walk-in advising is first-come, first-served, and there may be a wait.
- Accept the Payment Agreement.
- Register for your desired course(s).
- After you complete the course(s), have A-B Tech send a copy of your transcript to your home college/university.
