How to determine if A-B Tech will accept a high school diploma from an online course of study

Overview

To find out if A-B Tech will accept a high school diploma from an online program, go to deac.org for the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). If an online high school program is on their list of schools, we will accept it. If it is not on their list, we will not accept it for financial aid or for any program that requires a high school diploma. Many jobs also require a high school diploma from an accredited high school.

Follow the following steps to determine if an online program is on the DEAC list: 

1. Go to deac.org
2. Click “Students.” 
3. Click “Institution Search.” 
4. Click “Accredited Distance Education Institution Search.”
