Parking for Bicycles, Mopeds, Scooters, and Motorcycles
Overview of campus policies regarding parking for bicycles, mopeds, scooters, and motorcycles
If you ride a bicycle, you do not need a parking decal to park your bike on campus. If you ride a moped, scooter, or motorcycle, you DO need to have a parking decal. Curriculum students (those taking classes for college credit) can obtain a parking decal in the Bailey Building (#5 on the campus map). Continuing Education students can obtain one in the Ferguson Center for Allied Health and Workforce Development Building (#24 on the campus map). The first parking decal is free, and each subsequent decal costs $10.
Mopeds are permitted to park in or near bike racks, but motorcycles are not. Any gasoline-powered vehicle cannot be parked in a covered area by order of the Fire Marshall.
There are motorcycle parking areas in the front Bailey Building parking lot and Dogwood parking lots. We encourage all students to lock their respective vehicles to a bike rack or light pole to try to prevent theft.
