Overview of the process for registering for a Continuing Education class online, which involves setting up an online account

New Continuing Education Students

If you've never taken a Continuing Education (not for college credit) class at A-B Tech before, you would complete online registration as a new student.

To complete the online registration as a new student, go to abtech.edu/coned-registration. In the search box, you can type the name or a keyword of the class you wish to take and select the class by clicking the "Add to Cart" button and then clicking "Proceed to Checkout" on the popup screen. Then click “New Student Checkout.” This will take you to a form to fill out with your personal information. Make sure you enter your information correctly. Required fields have a red asterisk (*) next to them. After you have filled out all of your information, click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. This will take you through the steps to complete registration and pay for the class.

After you have completed registration, you should immediately receive a confirmation email that your information was submitted successfully (be sure to check your "junk"/"spam" email folder). By the following business day, you should receive a second email from letting you know your account has been set up and providing you with your username and password for WebAdvisor.

If you are having difficulty registering as a new student, then you may already have an account set up. Call (828) 398-7903 for assistance.

Returning Continuing Education Students

If you've taken Continuing Education (not for college credit) classes at A-B Tech in the past, you can register for Continuing Education classes online as a returning student. Go to abtech.edu/coned-registration. In the search box, you can type the name or a keyword of the class you wish to take and select the class by clicking the "Add to Cart" button and then clicking "Proceed to Checkout" on the popup screen. Then click “Returning Student Checkout.”  Your username should be your first name, middle initial, and last name, all lowercase and without any spaces or punctuation. If you do not remember your password, go to abtech.edu/password to reset it.

If you have any problems registering for Continuing Education classes as a returning student, contact our Continuing Education division directly at (828) 398-7903, and they'll be happy to assist you in getting registered.

Students Under 18

Students under 18 cannot register for classes online. Continuing Education students must be at least 16 by the time a class starts in order to register for a class. Students 16 and 17 years old must have a Minor Permission Form on file to register for Continuing Education classes. To download a copy, click on the arrow in the upper-right corner of the gray file viewer and select "Download" from the shortcut menu that appears.
