Law Enforcement Training

Summary

Courses and programs offered through our Law Enforcement Training

Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Curriculum Certificate

We offer a Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certificate. This program is designed to give students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments, or with private enterprise.

Upon graduation, BLET students receive a curriculum certificate and are qualified to take certification examinations mandated by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or the North Carolina Sheriffs Education and Training Standards Commission.

Entrance Requirements

The BLET program has specific entrance requirements, which are available on our website. Go to abtech.edu, enter "BLET" in the Search field, and select the "Basic Law Enforcement Training" link. This gives the entrance requirements, steps to enrollment and links to the BLET Enrollment Packet to download.

The enrollment packets are also available at the Woodfin Site, at the receptionist’s desk.
