Step-by-step instructions for selecting an academic program (declaring a major) online through WebAdvisor
Instructions
1. To access WebAdvisor, go to abtech.edu, select "Online Services" at the top of the page, and select "WebAdvisor".
2. Click "Log In" at the top of the WebAdvisor homepage, then enter your username and password and click "Submit." The username must be all lowercase and should not include "@students.abtech.edu."
3. After logging in, click on "Curriculum Students" on the right.
4. Click on "Change My Academic Program" under "Advising & Planning" on the right.
5. Select the circle to the left of "Switch one of my academic programs listed above," then click "Submit."
6. Select the circle to the left of "Unclassified General." In the drop-down boxes, select the program you would like to enter into and the term you would like to start that program.
Important: To enter a program for a term that has already started, you will need to consult with an Academic Advisor. In some cases, you may not be able to begin a program until the following semester.
7. If you successfully entered into the new academic program, you will be returned to the Curriculum Students Menu. You can confirm what program(s) you are in by clicking on "Program Evaluation," where you can see your active programs.
If you were unable to select an academic program, a red error message will display and explain the reason why. For further assistance with changing your program, email programadvising@abtech.edu.
